SBA grants
The SBA does not give grants to start or run a business. Its grant money goes to the organizations that help small businesses: Small Business Development Centers, Women's Business Centers, SCORE, and state export programs (STEP). It also runs the SBIR and STTR research programs with other agencies.
For a business, the practical routes are free advising at a local SBDC, SBA-backed loans through a bank, and export grants through your state's STEP office.
