Questions

When do arts grants close?

The next deadline is October 30, 2026 for Creative Support Organization grant. 2 programs take applications at any time.

Can individual artists apply for these?

Most grants here go to organizations. Individual artists usually apply to their state or local arts council, or to fellowships for artists.

Does every state have an arts agency?

Yes. Each state has an arts agency that receives part of the National Endowment for the Arts budget and makes its own grants to local organizations.

Do I have to pay to apply for a grant?

No. Real grant programs never charge to apply or to receive an award. Anyone asking for a fee before you get grant money is running a scam.
